The aim of surface cleaning sytems is to clean the part that will be painted from all items like oil, rust, etc., provide a good adhesion to the coating layer; so to perform a succesfull painting application. This will help paint to withstand against oxidation and medium conditions.
By considering the part size and especially the capacity, immersion and spraying type systems are applied. By considering the medium in which the part will be, material structure and reuired corrosion resistance, iron phospatizing, zinc phospatizing or chromatizing solutions are applied.
Reasons for surface treatment application
Surface treatment is used to increase efficiency of all powder and wet paint coatings. As a result of a treatment which has been made right, corrosion resistance and adhesion ağabeylity of paint will increase. Problems like corrosion and blistering on the coating are arise from wrong application of preparation. Generally surface treatment is more important than the final coating.
Regardless of how good is the paint system applied, paint can not be long term protective in case foreign matters (oil, rust, Grease, oxis layer, etc) has not been fully cleaned and a full contact between paint and surface has not been provided. Foreign matters that will be left between paint and surface will negatively affect features like adhesiveness, hardness, brightness, strenght.
Advantages of surface treatment

WHAT IS ELECTROSTATIC POWDER PAINT?
Electrostatic powder paint is a coating method which does not include solvent. Coating material is very fine powder paint particules which forms final coating layer.
Powder paint is applied with special paint guns. Powder paint particules which are loaded with electrostatic passing through the gun, sticks on the part being painted and coating has been performed. To provide the best sticking of powder paint on the part surface, material must be well grounded too. Overspray is being collected by the retrieval system of the booth and provided for reuse. Paint retrieval system is the most important economic advantage of the elctrostatic powder paint technology. Material is being sent to baking oven after coated wth powder paint. Oven with 200ºC temperature makes powder paint to melt and stick on the material. As a result a surface coating which is durable, economic, environment friendly, with wide range of colors and bright is being obtained.
Not involving solvent, surface quality, durability, paint retrieval system, economy and environmental awareness are the features that makes electrostatic powder paint more charming alternative against traditional painting applications.

EFFICIENCY
Powder paint usage efficiency is about 100%. Over sprayed paint is being collected by retrieval system and reused. So, 50-30% less paint is being used against traditional wet paint systems.
EASY AUTOMATION
Three important factors which make powder paint suitable for automatic facilities:
- powder paint loaded with electrostatic fully sticks on the material being coated with a “surrounding” effect.
- Fully penetrates to corners and empty spaces
